The 2d volume (1993-1/2) includes papers and discussions held 1993 at the first International Musicological Symposium "The Present State of Systematic Musicology" taking place 26th September, 1993 in the castle of Moravany. The 3d number (1994-2/1) will cover contributions written by Mario Baroni (Bologna/Italy), Bernard Bel (Marseille/France), Oskar Elschek (Bratislava/Slovakia), Albrecht Schneider (Hamburg/Germany), Alois Mauerhofer (Graz/Austria), Peter Szoeke (Budapest/Hungary), Helmut Roesing (Kassel/Germany), etc. The 4th number (1994-2-2) will be devoted to papers presented at the 2ND SYMPOSIUM ON SYSTEMATIC MUSICOLOGY, which will take place in OCTOBER 10TH TO 12TH, 1994 IN HAMBURG/GERMANY, which will discuss the TOPICS: 1) Analysis, synthesis & modelling with the aid of the computer 2) Theoretical norms and practical realizations in music 3) Systematic musicology and the "cognitive paradigm". ALGO-COMP is for the discussion of issues related to algorithmic composition (works, composers, implementation of algorithms, and "philosophical" matters.) US-USERS has been created for the discussion of the US program for digital audio recording, synthesis and playback on IBM computers (using the program, programming additions to the program, future plans for the program).
