Harmony. The harmony remains the same as in Block 1, centered on the structural perfect fifth, D-A, but the melodies detach from it. The structural fifth in the harmony (D-A) is two semitones away from the new melody (E-B) and seven semitones from the transposed old melody (A-E). The intervals of transposition can be heard as referring to the oscillating harmony (0257), and the roots of the three structural fifths, A-D-E, recall the first three melodic notes of Block 1.
