Recomposition. My speculative, normalizing recomposition restores the melodies to what would be their more conventionally correct tonal pitch level, undoing the T2 transposition of the new melody from Block 2 and the T7 transposition of the old melody from Block 1. As in Block 1, the harmony now fills the structural fifth, D-A, as a D-minor triad, and the melodies now prolong the same fifth either via arpeggiation or by filling it in with passing tones. The normative D-minor of the recomposition relieves the harmonic friction caused by the melodic emphasis on the E-B fourth filled in as E-D-C-B. The rhythm of the recomposition is square, with each rhythmic figure occupying a predictable and consistent position within an unambiguous, unvarying measure.
