Institution: Ohio State University Position: Assistant Professor, Music Theory General Information: Assistant Professor; nine-month tenure-track appointment beginning Autumn Quarter 2008. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Music Theory required; outstanding research potential; evidence of scholarly activity and effective teaching at the college level required; research interests to complement existing faculty in the department. Job Description/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses; advise undergraduate and graduate students and serve on graduate committees. Responsibilities will include coordination of core undergraduate theory and aural training courses. Other assignments to be determined by the needs of the School and the qualifications of the successful candidate. Maintain creative/scholarly and service contributions appropriate for a faculty member at a major research university.
