Institution: Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Position: Visiting Assistant Professor (two years) General Information: The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a two-year, full-time visiting position in music theory for the academic years 2008-2010, with the possibility of subsequent appointment to a tenure-track position. Appointment Effective Beginning August 2008. Qualifications: Qualifications: A completed Ph.D. in music theory is preferred, but strong candidates who are ABD will also be considered. Promising candidates with any area of research specialization will be considered. Preference may be given to those who can teach post-1900 music theory and literature. Job Description/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory; participate in departmental activities as assigned.
