Position: Adjunct Lecturer

General Information:

Adjunct Lecturer, 75% FTE. 1 academic year appointment with possibility of renewal. Date of Appointment: 1 August 2008.


Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in music theory or ABD. College/university teaching experience preferred. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory. Knowledge/experience in the application of technology to the teaching of music theory and aural and keyboard skills.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate courses in music theory, aural and
keyboard skills, and modal counterpoint.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

The UNCG School of Music, a member of NASM since 1938, is the only institution in North Carolina offering comprehensive degrees in music and music education from the baccalaureate through the doctorate, including a B.A. in music and an M.M. in music theory. Over 60 faculty members teach a student body of more than 600 majors.
