Institution: University of Massachusetts - Amherst Position: Lecturer, non-tenure track General Information: Music Theory: 2 Positions available. Lecturer, non-tenure track. Initial appointment for one year with possibility of renewal. Positions begin September 1, 2008. Review of applications will begin June 27, 2008 and continue until the positions are filled. Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Music Theory, a record of excellence in college or university teaching, and current research and publications. Job Description/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in theory and analysis. One of the positions will also teach music fundamentals for non-majors. Serve on Masters and Doctoral committees. Assist w/ recruiting and advising. Maintain an active program of research and scholarly activities. Serve on committees and perform other appropriate university and professional service. Salary Range: Salary commensurate w/ Lecturer rank.
