General Information:

The Graduate Institute of Musicology of NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY invites applications to fill one to two full-time tenure-track faculty positions at all levels (assistant, associate, or full professorship).

The appointment will begin on August 1, 2006.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have Ph.D. in historical musicology or systematic musicology. Those with Ph.D. in other disciplines whose research focuses on music-related topics will also be considered.

Priority will be given to applicants who have broad perspectives of musicology, can help develop interdisciplinary or intercultural approaches toward the study of the relationship between music and human beings, show a strong record or good potential in both teaching and research, can teach in both Chinese and English, and can help promote exchanges between our institute and the international scholarly community.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The successful candidates must teach graduate courses as well as undergraduate general education courses, guide students' theses, and help with administrative responsibilities.
