Institution: University of Delaware Position: Assistant Professor General Information: Tenure-track position starting 1 September 2009. Qualifications: • Doctorate required. • Evidence of successful college-level teaching. • Record of established research in music theory and of potential for continued scholarly activity. Job Description/Responsibilities: • Teaching responsibilities will include core theory and ear-training courses, in addition to upper-level and graduate courses for theory and composition majors. • Directing undergraduate theory theses. • Maintaining active writing and research profile. • Collegial participation in departmental activities. • Contribution to the department’s recruitment and retention goals. Salary Range: Commensurate with rank and experience.
