Institution: Lee University School of Music Position: Assistant Professor General Information: Tenure-track Music Theory Position Start date: August 1, 2011 Qualifications: The Lee University School of Music invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Instrumental Music, starting August 2011. We seek a dynamic classroom teacher who is committed to undergraduate, liberal arts education in a Christian environment. An earned doctorate in music is required; a Ph.D. in Theory is preferred, though candidates with degrees in other areas will be considered. In addition to teaching theory and aural skills, the position may include applied studio teaching commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and expertise. We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in clarinet, viola, or secondary piano. Lee University is a Christian liberal arts institution with approximately 4,300 students. The School of Music, a fully accredited member of NASM, serves over 300 music majors.
