Institution: Columbia University Position: Lecturer General Information: The Department of Music at Columbia University seeks to hire a full-time Lecturer in Discipline in musicianship, to begin July 1, 2011. Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in Music, and should have experience working within a practical musicianship/ear-training and music theory program in a liberal arts college setting. Responsibilities include teaching courses in ear training, harmony, and counterpoint, as well advising students on placement and progress, and working with other instructors and faculty members to develop curricular and pedagogical materials and approaches for these courses.
