Institution: University of South Carolina School of Music Position: Assistant Professor of Music Composition and Theory General Information: Tenure-Track position to begin in August 2012. Qualifications: Doctorate in Music Composition (DMA or PhD, ABD also considered), with demonstrated success teaching college-level music theory; proven record of achievement and promise of developing a national reputation as a composer. Job Description/Responsibilities: Maintain an active career as a composer through performances, recordings, publications, etc; teach composition and courses in undergraduate and graduate music theory; help direct concerts of contemporary music and student composer concerts; direct graduate and undergraduate research as needed.
