Institution: Illinois State University Position: Assistant or Associate Professor General Information: Music Theory and Composition, tenure track. Starting date: August 13, 2012 Qualifications: Doctorate required to achieve tenure, ABD considered; successful teaching experience at the collegiate level is required. Job Description/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in theory and musicianship, plus undergraduate and graduate courses in applied composition and analysis. Additional courses may include orchestration, counterpoint, or others according to interest and specialization. A desirable area of specialization is electro-acoustic composition. The faculty member will be expected to serve on selected committees and will be assigned other duties as appropriate and needed. Salary Range: Salary based upon qualifications and experience.
