Institution: Stephen F. Austin State University Position: One-Semester Sabbatical Replacement General Information: Spring Semester, 2013 (January-May) Qualifications: Teaching Experience. ABD or higher. Job Description/Responsibilities: The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music is seeking a qualified individual to assume a full-time load of applied composition and theory at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for the Spring semester of 2013 (January through May). Load will include delivery of an already-developed online graduate class in post-tonal analysis as well as private instruction of approximately twelve composition majors at all levels. Additional classes may be assigned according to departmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong ABD candidate or recent graduate to strengthen their resume and gain valuable teaching experience in a large and active school of music. Salary, although negotiable, would be in keeping with full-time adjunct pay. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
