Institution: Western State Colorado University Position: Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Music (Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Percussion) General Information: Western State Colorado University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Percussion. Start date: July 2013. Job Description/Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching all levels of music theory and aural skills, maintaining a percussion studio, directing percussion ensemble and active recruitment for the department. Additional responsibilities may include courses in music composition, music technology, and music education as determined by the needs of the department and candidate expertise. Responsibilities include teaching 24 semester credits per year, academic advising, continued professional development, and service to the University. Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan and life and health insurance. Assistant professor salary range is $47,000-48,000.
