Institution: Baruch College Position: Assistant Professor (Ethnomusicology) General Information: The Department of Fine and Performing Arts of Baruch College seeks to hire an ethnomusicologist to begin September 2006. The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Qualifications: Successful applicants will have a strong commitment to research and experienced teaching on the undergraduate level. Areas of specialization may include, but are not limited to, popular music of both the western and non-western world, the American musical theater, Women's studies, and inter-disciplinary perspectives. Experience with communication-intensive instruction preferred. Ph.D. must be completed by the appointment date.
