Institution: Ithaca College Position: Assistant Professor General Information: The Ithaca College School of Music announces a full-time, tenure-eligible position in music theory at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall 2014. Qualifications: Completed doctorate in music theory by the time of hire, demonstrably excellent full-time college teaching experience (at least one year beyond graduate assistant level), and evidence of potential for scholarship. Job Description/Responsibilities: Teaching duties will include undergraduate theory and analysis, twentieth century analysis, aural skills courses, possibly upper-level or graduate courses in analysis and counterpoint, or possibly liberal arts courses for non-music majors.
