Institution: University of Northern Iowa Position: Assistant Professor of Organ & Music Theory Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Organ with evidence of degree completion by August 1, 2014 required. Required Qualifications: Recognition for excellence as a performer with demonstrated understanding of a broad range of performance styles, and experience as a studio and theory classroom teacher at the collegiate level are required. Desirable Qualifications: Secondary graduate degree or field emphasis in music theory preferred. Job Description/Responsibilities: Tenure-track position in the School of Music. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. BEGINNING DATE: August 2014. Provide individual instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in organ performance, including a weekly studio class, and teach upper-level courses in music theory. Maintain an active portfolio of scholarly research/creative activities. Recruit potential students and maintain an active service portfolio. Additional assignments depend on department need and area(s) of expertise.
