The Faculty of Music achieves these objectives by providing outstanding musical education at all levels within Manitoba through its highly talented faculty and students, innovative programming and a commitment to outreach.

Reporting to the Vice-President (Academic) & Provost, the Dean of the Faculty of Music is responsible for the innovative leadership and management of the Faculty and is a member of the senior administrative team at the University.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be qualified to hold a tenured appointment at the rank of Professor in the Faculty of Music, have extensive academic and/or arts administrative experience, and have a sincere appreciation of the various disciplines represented in the Faculty. The appointment as Dean is initially for a term of five years commencing July 1, 2007. The Presidential Advisory Committee will begin its review of applications in early October 2006.
