Texas Christian University

Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Fine Arts. The University seeks a visionary leader who embodies the excellence of TCU’s College of Fine Arts and will advance the national stature of the College.
TCU is located in Fort Worth, Texas, the 16th largest city in the country (located in a metropolitan area of more than 6 million), which is known for its world-class culture in the arts, education, and entertainment. The University has over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and the College of Fine Arts has approximately 800 undergraduate and 70 graduate students in Master’s and Doctoral programs. The College is comprised of five outstanding academic units: the School of Art, the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance, the Department of Interior Design & Merchandising, the School of Music, and the Department of Theatre.
The Dean is the chief executive officer of the College, and reports to the Provost of the University. The Dean is responsible for the administrative and academic functions of the College, and serves as the leading advocate for the faculty, staff, students and programs to the community and other external constituencies. Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to: attract and inspire distinguished faculty, talented staff and outstanding students; cultivate and maintain relationships with the external community; and increase gifts, endowment, and other significant revenue sources.
