Institution: Baylor University Position: Assistant Professor General Information: Baylor University announces the position of Assistant Professor of Music Theory, a tenure-track position that begins in August of 2007. Screening of applications will begin on October 2, 2006, and will continue until the position is filled. Qualifications: Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent at the time of appointment, college teaching experience, and a record of scholarly research. Fluency in instructional technology is preferred. Job Description/Responsibilities: This person will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory, maintaining an active program of research in music theory, and participating in the musical and academic life of the School of Music and the University. Other duties may be assigned, according to departmental needs. Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
