Institution: College of Wooster Position: Assistant Professor of Music Theory (tenure-track) General Information: The Music Department of The College of Wooster invites applications for two positions in Music Theory at the Assistant Professor level, one tenure-track and the other a one-year visiting position with possibility of renewal; both will begin in August 2016. Qualifications: The Music Department of The College of Wooster invites applications for two positions in Music Theory at the Assistant Professor level, one tenure-track and the other a one-year visiting position with possibility of renewal; both will begin in August 2016. Candidates wishing to be considered for both positions only need to submit one application. For each position, the successful candidate should be able to teach undergraduate written theory and aural skills at all levels. Ability to teach in secondary areas, especially including Music History and Literature and/or applied woodwinds, is desirable. Strong keyboard and aural skills are essential Prior college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred, as is a doctorate or ABD in Theory or Composition by job start date.
