Institution: Corpas University Position: Adjunct Professor General Information: Tenure track starting February 2016. Indefinate contract. Travel and General Expenses covered for a two required trial period. Spanish preferable: willing to learn. Qualifications: Masters degree in Music Theory, A completed Ph.D. in music theory or a Ph. D in process is required. A strong record of excellence in teaching undergraduate music theory courses and scholarly achievement must be evident Job Description/Responsibilities: Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and aural skills,according to curricular needs and the candidate's abilities/expertise, such as undergraduate theory courses on Diatonic Harmony, Form & Analysis and 20th-/21st-Styles & Techniques, as well as selected courses at the graduate level (such as tonal analysis, the pedagogy of music theory and others as needed). Contribute to the coordination and advancement of the core music theory curriculum; participate on committees; provide service to the School. Continued scholarly/creative activity is expected.
