Institution: College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University Position: Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor of Music General Information: One year Qualifications: A Ph.D. in musicology or music theory is expected (completed preferred, but will consider ABD). Job Description/Responsibilities: The Music Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University invites applications for a full-time one-year position to begin August 2016. Primary responsibilities will be teaching courses in the two-year music theory and ear training sequence and teaching a two-semester music history survey course for music majors. Additional teaching opportunities will depend on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the department. Candidates with interests in music technology or popular musical styles are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in musicology or music theory is expected (completed preferred, but will consider ABD).
