Position: Lecturer in Music Theory

General Information:

The College of Fine Arts and Communication at Towson University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer position in Music Theory in the Department of Music beginning August 2016.

Qualifications:

Doctorate in Music Theory or its equivalent. ABD applicants will be considered. Record of excellence in teaching at the university/college level. Demonstrated scholarly achievement and conversant in integrating technology into instruction. Proficiency in keyboard skills is expected.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

Teach workload of eight (8) course units per academic year, comprised of the undergraduate course sequence in theory and aural skills. Contribute to curriculum development and participate in shared governance at the department and college level.
