Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
> A doctorate or equivalent qualification in Music (Music Theory specialisation)
> Teaching experience at both under- and postgraduate levels
> Evidence of sustained research publications
> Evidence of post-graduate supervision
> Competence in discipline related/specific administration tasks

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The School of Arts, Cluster of Performing Arts seeks to employ a dedicated individual who will:
> Coordinate all Music Theory modules
> Provide academic leadership in the area of Music Theory
> Teach Music Theory modules at all levels (from basic music literacy to post-tonal theory and analysis)
> Engage in conducting discipline-related research
> Provide student supervision from undergraduate through to post-graduate level
> Engage with the broader Music Community
> Make substantive contributions to the growth and development of the School
