Qualifications:

> Completed DMA or PhD in Music.
> Successful college teaching experience in music theory.
> Effective oral and written communication skills.
> Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
> Teach undergraduate and graduate music theory courses.
> Teach additional music courses based on the candidate’s background and experience.
> Participate in departmental administrative duties.

Occasional Duties:
> Participate as performer and/or instructor in department applied music and/or ensembles.
> Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the chair of the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

Teaching/instruction is performed in a traditional classroom setting and participation in performance is done in a traditional performance setting.
