Institution: University of Central Florida

Position: Assistant Professor, Music Theory

General Information:

The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts is seeking a nine-month, tenure earning assistant professor to teach core Music Theory courses and other courses according to ability of applicant and needs of the department; collaborating with faculty, staff, and students in both music and theater departments is expected. The anticipated start date is August 2018.

Qualifications:

Position Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in music theory from an accredited institution, completed by time of appointment; experience in university-level classroom teaching; ability to teach all levels of theory; record of successful scholarship or creative work.

Preferences:
Music technology experience; ability to teach courses in other areas of specialized interest; strong keyboard skills.
