Position: Assistant Professor of Music Theory

Qualifications:

PhD or advanced ABD status.We seek candidates whose areas of research and teaching expertise complement those of existing faculty, with a particular interest in the following areas: popular music, music and media, and/or music technology. They should demonstrate a strong record of or potential for research, evidence of successful teaching at the college level, and familiarity with current trends in undergraduate theory pedagogy.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Undergraduate and graduate instruction, advising, supervision of theses, and university service.The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a record of professional research activity appropriate for tenure at a Tier 1 research university.
