The two four-element cycles rotating in opposite directions are readily apparent, similar to the "circulate" call depicted in Figure 7.

Partners face one another. They briefly join right hands and “pull by,” passing shoulder to shoulder so they are now back to back.
Each dancer briefly joins left hands with the person facing him/her and again "pulls by."
This alternating right and left "pull-by" pattern continues until the partners reach each other again after four iterations of the cycle.
