Position: Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Music Theory.
Salary/rank: Tenure-track position; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include teaching from among core undergraduate theory classes including harmony, tonal or modal counterpoint, form, and tonal analysis, as well as a graduate survey course on the History of Music Theory and graduate seminars in area(s) of specialization, with a preference for theory and analysis of tonal music.
Qualifications: Doctorate in music theory required; evidence of successful university teaching experience required; an ongoing agenda of research and publication is essential.

Appointment Effective August 2006 Position Title Assistant Professor of
Musicology. Tenure-track.
Major Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this position include
teaching music history on the graduate and undergraduate levels; recruiting
graduate students; and contributing to the artistic and intellectual environment
of the college and the University. Other duties as assigned by the chair and/or
dean.
Qualifications:
Salary: The salary is competitive and commensurate with peer institution
levels for rank and position, and in keeping with candidate experience and

The Theory Department of the Eastman School of Music seeks a music theorist for a position to begin fall, 2006. The successful candidate must have a completed Ph.D., be engaged in on-going research, and should have demonstrated success in teaching. Rank is negotiable.
